NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 Rally Recap
With the 55th annual NASCAR Coca Cola 600 as the main event, it promised to be a rally to remember. And that’s exactly what we all enjoyed over Memorial Day Weekend at the Charlotte Speedway.
For starters, the weather was perfect and so were our parking accommodations at Ver-El Village. Located just outside the speedway entrance, we were within easy walking distance of the track and all of the vendors.
Those who arrived early took the opportunity to explore the town of Concord and discover some very good restaurants. The food at one in particular, Gianni’s Trattoria, was exceptional enough to earn return trip from many of us.
The rally itself provided a private tour of Hendrick Heritage Center Museum, a visit to the Childress Vineyard with dinner afterward, plus a variety of garage tours and pit passes. We also spent one evening having dinner trackside at the Speedway Club, and enjoyed the rest of the races from an air-conditioned suite with plenty of food and beverages.
We’re already making plans for coming back next year, so all of you race fans and Liberty travelers, mark Memorial Day 2015 on your calendar now and keep your eye out for more details from Liberty Coach!
